Since 2017, WTR has conducted regular research to identify the IP offices leading the way in terms of non-core initiatives. The IP Office Innovation Ranking launched at a time when some national registries were looking to transform themselves from administrative offices into technologically advanced organisations offering a broader range of services. In the years since, we have tracked how IP offices have evolved in terms of the value that they add for innovators.
